Here we are! Exactly 11 days (and counting) away from Baltimore’s biggest comic book event, The Baltimore Comic Con! And MAS is there!
But this is not MAS’s first time out. In fact, we have been to the Baltimore Comic Con once before and achieved huge success. However, since it has been sometime since we have been to Baltimore, it is still somewhat unfamiliar territory to us. We really don’t know what to expect. What we do know is that it’s going to be wild!
The guest list this year is huge and includes comic book legends like: Neal Adams (Superman #254, Giant-Size X-Men #3), Mark Bagley (Justice League of America #38-53), Frank Cho (The Savage Dragon #100-The Amazing Spider-Man #46 in 2002), Novelist, Joe Hill (Heart Shaped Box, Horns), Adam Hughes (Superman/Batman #75: “World’s End…But Life Goes On”) and a host of other mainstream artists and writers in the comic industry, not to mention a pot full of surprise celebrities are scheduled to appear.
So how will MAS stand out among this tapestry of great artists and creators? That’s easy! MAS will just keep being MAS, our focus is set on delivering what we term the “MAS Vibe Experience”, the idea that you, the guest, are the participant. Mas’s idealogy keeps building off of the framework of great stories and action-packed images. But there has been one particular goodie for our fans that has become a staple at every con. And that is… the MAS Blue Screen shots! That’s is correct! The MAS Blue Screen will be up and ready! Now, for all those who are unfamiliar with this fun tidbit of customer appreciation, here is what you need to know:
MAS takes a picture of you in front of the MAS Media Studios banner. We then place a background of your choice in the picture. So for example, what started out as a simple picture of yourself at a con is now a picture of yourself alongside your favorite character or scene, placing you center stage! (Is that cool or what? I tip my hat to Jorge for that great idea. Way to go, bro)!
Dying for some more MAS special 411? Russ5377 is making his return to MAS! Let me repeat, Russ5377 is making his return to MAS! Now, this is big because our butt kicking, futuristic hero has been on a little bit of a hiatus, until now! Each book will have a surprise inside and will be filled with chances to win a free copy of the graphic novel entitled Russ5377: Project Prototype (which will be available at the New York Comic Con in October). So beware all you mad, mind- bending, evil do-ers because Russ5377 is ready to kick some real futuristic butt!
Next up is our first ever published comic book “Street Journal“. The flagship title is now going five years strong and will also be available for purchase at the con, along with a sneak peek look at MAS’s upcoming action-drama, Zion 3! This is also big! Zion 3 is a slight departure from “Street Journal” in that Zion 3 will be an action based comic set in an urban environment! The response on the character sketches have been amazing, so you don’t want to miss out on the sneak peek of this upcoming release.
And, if that’s not enough to get you hungry for MAS, Anibal “The Animal” Arroyo will have his sketch cards to view and enjoy along with a sneak peek at the full-color pages for his upcoming kids book entitled, “Lil Steve’s Closet”. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this!
So get ready for the celebration of the year going down in the heart of Baltimore! Come check us out at our table # A294! Thank you and hope to see you in there!
